The Naked Gun is the latest installment in The Naked Gun series, originally created by The Zucker Brothers and starring Leslie Nielsen.

The Naked Gun (2025) follows Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr (Liam Neeson) as he continues in his father’s footsteps of being a dumbass cop who breaks stuff. The plot? Who cares! There’s a bad guy, there’s Frank Drebin and Beth Davenport (Pamala Anderson) being silly and fun together.

More importantly, from stem to stern, tip to toe there are non-stop jokes. The first laugh came within the first 30 seconds of the movie starting and didn’t stop until the screen faded to black. There are a few mid credit gags as well as goofs in the credits themselves. (You should sit through the entirety of the credits!)

I laughed so hard I farted, and in an incredible moment of grace, the couple next to me didn’t look over.

The performances are all pitch perfect, with some true stand outs such as Busta Rhymes, Wilbur Fitzgerald, and Eddie DuPriest. Neeson and Anderson have an incredible chemistry to the point where they’re dating now, which is lovely to see. Danny Huston brings the heat as the heavy, Richard Cane, a tech billionaire bent on resetting the world. Danny modulates perfectly between menacing and buffoonery.

I don’t want to get into it too much as humor is reliant on surprise, but I’ll say this: Go see the movie. It might be perfect.
